About Gravel Trials

A Gravel Trial is a timed event, pitting a team of driver and co-driver against the clock on a closed gravel or snow covered course. A specially prepared vehicle and personal safety equipment are required to enter (see Rules and Regulations). Different course configurations may be used during an event.

Volunteers “make the show happen” and are necessary to run a Gravel Trial event. It takes about 25-30 volunteers to run the event. Positions needed include control workers, timing workers, Ham radio operators, course marshals, and safety.
